NASA x will.i.am: Reach for the Stars
In a very unique collaboration, NASA and musician will.i.am will share key findings about planet Mars with students that will be broadcast from the surface of the ‘Red Planet’.
A new song from musician will.i.am will be transmitted via the Curiosity rover, which was successfully landed on Mars by members of a specialised team earlier this month. The individuals responsible for landing the Curiosity rover will first explain to students the mission and the technology behind the song’s interplanetary transmission. will.i.am will then premiere “Reach for the Stars”, a new composition about the singer’s passion for science, technology and space exploration.
This truly unique event will be taking place Tuesday 28 August at 1 p.m. (PDT) in Pasadena, California in North America at NASA headquarters. The event will also be streamed on the NASA website and broadcast on NASA TV.
