F-Troupe SS12
Marrying unexpected colours, textures and prints with traditional British references, is a talent that has fast become F-Troupe’s signature. Their SS12 collection reinforces that talent.
Masculine brogues are given a feminine restyle with delicate cut out detailing and shaped perforations. For men denim appears on casual, lace up shoes and boots. A classic espadrille wedge for females and two-tone worker boots for men also make the collection.
Suede brogues in both men’s and women’s styles are contrasted against pastel bright soles, demonstrating F-Troupe’s uncanny ability to juxtapose the modern with the traditional. The ever-popular bathing shoe is also made available in a rainbow of colours.
With inspiration drawn from the Suffragette movement, F-Troupe took the notion of the strong, freethinking woman and brought that into a design. This led to the return of F-Troupe’s ‘Cat’ shoe, referencing the Cat and Mouse Act of 1913. The playful shoes have been re-worked in animal prints with the cat face featured on the toe.
Each season sees continuing themes reinvented, and illustrates a union between the notion of heritage and modernity.
