10 Years of Y-3

An exclusive book titled ‘10 Years of Y-3’ celebrates the anniversary of Y-3, by exploring the unique visual style of the brand and the aesthetic it has become known for.

adidas began their partnership with Yohji Yamamoto in 2003, working with the Japanese based designer on a range that would become Y-3. What resulted is an enduring arm of the adidas brand that has continued to capture audiences globally.

The purely visual title features images from the runway and campaigns, charting the journey and style development of the Y-3 brand. Through the title’s pages the connection between sport and avant-garde tailoring becomes clear. Close-up images of textures and patterns provide a deeper insight into the aesthetics of the brand, while images of Y-3’s stores trace the story from garment to interior.

’10 Years of Y-3’ has been published in a limited edition run of 2000 copies and will be exclusively presented to a selection of brand ambassadors and collaborators. The book can be previewed here.
