Ochre: Quiet Beauty

The latest release from Ochre is a sculptural collection defined by a quiet beauty.

Founded in 1996 by Joanna Bibby and Harriet Maxwell Macdonald, Ochre has since formed a strong place in the market and become known for its distinctive lighting and furniture. Using traditional techniques within contemporary contexts, Ochre continues to create innovative design and custom products for the globe stage.

The most recent Ochre range consists of furniture, lighting and accessories with the emphasis being on the use of very high quality materials, flawless British craftsmanship and technical virtuosity. Designs are all underpinned by the mastery of unusual materials and individual crafts.

“This is a challenge we love. The starting point is understanding the possibilities of a material by spending time with specialist craftsmen in their workshops. We then go back to the drawing board with this knowledge to create new designs. It’s a very exciting part of the process and we love to break rules with traditional materials and explore techniques that have never been done before,” the duo said.

Ochre’s head office and showroom is based in London, England. Their products are available at various locations across North America.
