Mr. Scruff: Feel Free

Mr Scruff’s album Friendly Bacteria – released in May 2014 – has lead to a series of collaborative remixes. The latest has seen Mr Scruff collaborate with German wunderkind Max Graef.

Two months ago DJ Andrés released a remix of Mr Scruff’s track Render Me taken from Friendly Bacteria. We couldn’t go past highlighting this collaboration with Graef, which releases further remixes from the album. Available on 12”, the duo have focused on two tracks, We are Coming and Feel Free.

Graef has infused We are Coming with funk, while Mr Scruff has tweaked Feel Free to emphasise the jazz elements of the track. Giving Matthew Halsall (trumpet) and Phil France of The Cinematic Orchestra (double bass) further prominence within Feel Free, the track evokes smooth electronic. See below for details of the release:

“This Side” – We Are Coming (Max Graef remix)
“That Side” – Feel Free (Scruff 12″ Re-Tweak)

The release will be available via Ninja Tune on Monday 8 September 2014.
