Dover Street Market New York

Since launching in December 2013 in New York, Dover Street Market continues to change the face of retail in the city.

When the retail concept opened, embedded in its vision was the notion of a new beginning. Scheduled to take place every six to 12 months, the retail concept recently closed their doors for a weekend to reopen with a renewed space and designer pop-ups.

The founder of Dover Street Market Rei Kawakubo sought to “create a kind of market where various creators from various fields gather together and encounter each other in an ongoing atmosphere of beautiful chaos: the mixing up and coming together of different kindred souls who all share a strong personal vision.” His concept continues to ring true with the recent new beginning.

Dover Street Market brings together the individual visions of multiple brands allowing them to exhibit their garments and brand aesthetic within the seven-floor space.

September will continue to see Dover Street Market New York hold the launch of the Pharrell Wiliams’‘GIRL’ Eau de Parfum. The fragrance will launch on Tuesday 5 September 2014.
