Diane Pernet: The Perfume Collection

Fashion critic and style icon Diane Pernet has announced the launch of her first-ever perfume collection.

The perfume collection is the result of the collaboration between Pernet and Intertrade Group, which was born by a chance meeting between Pernet and Celso Fadelli, CEO of Intertrade Group. The duo worked together to create a perfume that explores the moods, sensations and recurring memories that echo throughout Diane’s life.

The collection is formed by four fragrances To be Honest, Wanted, In Pursuit of Magic and Shaded. The bottle has been exclusively created for Pernet by designer Mario Salvucci and includes one of her iconic symbols, the spider.

Pernet can be easily recognised by her enigmatic look, regularly appearing dressed in sheaths of black and shrouded by a headpiece, with signature sunglasses veiling her eyes. Previously a fashion designer, she now acts as documentary filmmaker, talent scout and fashion blogger on her site A Shaded View on Fashion. Pernet has developed her platform beyond the web and in 2008 launched event A Shaded View on Fashion Film (ASVOFF). The event has since grown to promote the fashion film genre.

The four fragrances will be launched at an exclusive event at Joyce Gallery in the Palais Royal in Paris on Friday 26 September 2014. The launch will be accompanied by an exhibition curated by Cristiano Seganfreddo and will feature artwork, iconography and sketches from illustrators around the world who have been inspired by Pernet.
