Vexta: She Brings Wildness
Vexta has revealed her latest large-scale piece on the streets of Jersey City, USA.
Titled She Brings Wildness the artwork explores the concept of a woman as creator and a mythological fighter for freedom. Vexta plays with the cityscape, utilising the shapes of windows to paint and manipulate them into cages. Vexta highlights that the cages are “symbolic of our way of life which we can in turn be contained by or released from”.
Born in Melbourne, Australia Vexta is currently based in New York. fluoro spoke with Vexta earlier this year after she spent time developing artworks in Mexico City. Find out about her unique experience of the city here.
