Stockholm Design

February marks the month for Stockholm to display and inspire the world with its Scandinavian design at Stockholmsmässan the major hub.

Each year the city hosts around 70 leading exhibitions as well as national and international conferences, congresses and corporate events. Amongst the most celebrated are the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and the Stockholm Design Week. The first is the largest meeting place for Scandinavian furniture and lighting design. Attended by visitors from all over the world, the fair exhibits an extensive range of Scandinavian furniture, office, design, textile, bathroom, kitchen, lighting, lighting technology and other interior designs suitable for both private and public settings.

The Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair also hosts an array of moderators, speakers, panellists and a forum for knowledge and discussion about design, all part of the Stockholm Design Talks. For 2015, the theme for the Stockholm Design Talks is Tales of Creativity. See the video to the right.

Complementing the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and taking place in the same week, Stockholm Design Week houses more than 60 high-profile design events at a range of venues across the city.

The combination of both keys events has made Stockholm the place to be for furniture and design lovers, buyers, architects, designers and journalists each year.

Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2015 runs until Saturday 7 February in the day, while Stockholm Design Week will occupy the city’s evenings until Sunday 8 February. Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair will open to the general public on Saturday 7 February.
