London Fashion Week AW15

London Fashion Week AW15 kicks off today with a number of design events set to take place alongside presentations from some of fashions most innovative brands.

Among the events to take place at London Fashion Week is the British Fashion Council’s Fashion Film event. Sponsored by River Island the initiative was developed in 2010 to allow designers to showcase their collections by using film as a medium. For this season River Island collaborated with Jean-Pierre Braganza and Google Cardboard to create a film using Google Cardboard. The result presents a new interactive way of experiencing film through via smartphones.

The designers that received funding to create fashion films this year are Gareth Pugh, House of Holland and Jean-Pierre. The three designers’ film screenings will take place on Monday 23 February 2015 and will be open to the public from 10am – 11am.
