Nickodemus Music: 10 Years of Painting Outside the Lines

After 20 years as a DJ and 10 years in music production, DJ Nickodemus looks back in the form of a musical retrospective and mix titled Wonderworld: Ten Years of Painting Outside the Lines. The album, which is put together by Nickodemus, celebrates the 10-year anniversary of the release of his debit album Endangered Species.

Wonderworld covers original material and remixes from his three albums Endangered Species, Sun People, and Moon People. As such its forms a perfect reflection and chronicle of Nickodemus’ musical progression from the past decade on his own record label Wonderwheel Recordings.

The new album is a tribute to Nickodemus’ DJ career that spans from his sets at NYC’s renowned Giant Step parties in the 1990s to his own turntables on the Hudson events throughout the last decade. Its 25 tracks seamlessly capture his unique mixed style that refrains from conforming to any one genre, just like the title of his latest album indicate. Rather his music is a world-travelled, experimental blend of sunny Latin beats with tunes from dub, funk, house, Afrobeat and deep electronic sounds.

The album is now available as a CD as well as a cassette tape, and is accompanied by a card for free download of all the individual tracks.
