Empress Of: Water Water

Terrible Records and Remote Control Records release a new track by Lorely Rodriguez, aka Empress Of, titled Water Water available digitally through Terrible Records and Remote Control Records.

The new track is the first to be released from Empress Of since last year’s Realize You and is a preview of her self written and produced debut album set for release later this year.

Water Water was written by the artist on New Years Eve when the she was alone in the village of Valle de Brave, in Mexico. Rodriguez had retreated for five weeks for a formative writing retreat to this sanctuary of solitude and peace. Standing alone at the lake, fireworks in hand, she was inspired by the water around her and wrote Water Water as time slowly passed into the New Year – the year which she would spend preparing her debut album.

In anticipation of her coming album release Rodriguez will be bringing her unique blend of deeply personal yet celebratory dance music on stage this spring for supporting shows with Jamie xx, Jon Hopkins, and Florence & The Machine. She will further be returning to the festival stage for performances at The Great Escape and London Calling. In addition the artist will be hosting a five-nights-straight live residency at NYC venue Elvis Guesthouse from Tuesday 28 April – Saturday 2 May 2015.
