International Contemporary Furniture Fair 2015

The focus on furniture continues. From Melbourne’s DEN Fair, we take you to New York for the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF).

The 2015 ICFF has expanded to two levels of the Jacob K. Javits Center in which it is held. This gives the fair an exhibition space of 207,000 square feet in which products from more than 700 exhibitors will be showcased. The fair is expected to have an attendance of more than 32,000 architects, interior designers, developers, visual merchandisers and high-end retail buyers.

ICFF 2015 will include four major features: HO.MI New York, Luxe Interiors + design @ICFF, ICFF Talks, ICFF Studio and ASID @ICFF.

HO.MI New York will see the most prominent Italian designers and brands exhibit their products. These designers who are all exhibitors at the biannual HO.MI Milano Lifestyles exhibition have travelled to the US to participate in the first HO.MI New York at ICFF. The New York exhibition will feature numerous exhibitors from Salone del Mobile and as such promise to display the best of Italian design.

Luxe Interiors + Design @ICFF forms a new event within the US interiors marketplace and will premiere this year at ICFF. The new feature functions as a luxury event showcasing 80 of the top brands in contemporary and classic designs in furniture, lighting, wall covering, carpets, kitchen and bath, accessories and more.

ICFF Talks will once again gather a selection of internationally recognised industry leaders to share their knowledge within a range of subjects. These will cover innovation in materials, new design approaches in colour and style in the residential sector, hospitality, contract and luxury retail environments.

ICFF Studio will this year celebrate its 10th edition at the ICFF. This section uncovers emerging talent and prototypes from undiscovered designers selected through a juried competition. This year the winners selected for inclusion are: Hanna Kruse from Offenbach, Germany, for her Tarvos Kore Collection; Jordan Tomnuk from Edmonton, Canada, for his Divide lighting collection; Fahmida Lam from Brooklyn, New York, for her Thor Daybed; Jonah Willcox-Healey from Brooklyn, New York, for his Copenhagen Chair; and Hui Ling Cheng from Pasadena, California, for his Tui Chair.

Finally, ASID @ICFF will offer a broad range of educational sessions offered by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). The sessions will cover a various range of topics to present something of relevance for designers in every discipline.

ICFF 2015 will take place from Saturday 16 May – Tuesday 19 May 2015 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City, US
