MYKITA X Maison Margiela

MYKITA and Maison Margiela launch a new campaign that calls back the arranged images of a formal affair.

The campaign was shot by photographer Charles Fréger known for a photographic style that captures exotic characters and revealing photographs from around the globe, delving into the value of myth and ritual to human nature.

For the new MYKITA and Maison Margiela campaign, Fréger created the atmospheric images by capturing a stylish set whose collective gaze is fixed on a distant mysterious occurrence. Their sunglass frames reflect the daytime sunrays in the day photographs. The optical version of the glasses are visualised in optical version in a twilight photograph.

The campaign presents this season’s Essential sunglass collection, which welcomes two new styles to the existing range. MMESSE009 and MMESSE010 feature rims in circular and triangular shapes respectively. Both the models have a thin metal double bridge. Another addition to the sunglass range is a new colourway in the darkest red where E7 Red frames are paired with Dark Purple Flash lenses.
