Ricardo Andrez AW13/14

Ricardo Andrez’s AW 13/14 collection, BRVTVS, explores the intersect of high fashion and sportswear, celebrating the power of the man.

The collection takes elements from classic menswear, pairing them with garments more likely to be found in a sportswear range. Structured shirts are placed under bomber jackets and tailored pants are worn without shoes. Quilted leather pants and biker gloves are a subtle reference to motorcycle culture, the altered context adding a sense of beauty.

From the garments to his photo shoots Andrez’s collection remains aesthetically consistent throughout.  In a continuation of the sports theme, models are shot atop of plinths, posed as if ready to race in a ‘set position.’

Andrez is based in Lisbon, Portugal. He is one of the designers represented by the ModaLisboa Association, a group that is focused on developing Portugal’s fashion industry.
