Creative Authenticity

‘POINT 01 Authenticity’ will explore the theme it is based around, authenticity, through a series of lectures from significant creative thinkers changing the rules of branding and communication. The first edition of the two-day conference will launch in London, UK.

POINT is a not-for-profit organisation that celebrates excellence in design and its influence in contemporary culture and society. Established by a collective of designers, POINT’s focus is to show the value of design and highlight its effect on the way people live.

‘POINT 01 Authenticity’ will explore the power and value of great design including design for society, investing in design and brave design that has the power to change the rules.

Noteable speakers include:

– David Tonge; a product designer for some of the world’s most recogniseable brands such as Issey Miyake and MUJI.

– Gary Aspden; who established Adidas’ brand trend-marketing strategy, to communicate the Adidas story.

– Morag Myerscough; known for her interiors and large-scale graphic installations.

– Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby; designers of the 2012 London Olympic torch.

‘POINT 01 Authenticity’ conference takes place on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 May, 2013 at the Royal Institute of British Architects, London.
