Electric Empire
Melbourne band Electric Empire are launching their new album on Wednesday 8 September at the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney. Electric Empire is the new creation of accomplished singer, songwriter and producer Dennis Dowlut from Disco Montego fame, Jason Heerah and Aaron Mendoza. They launched on to the live music scene in early 2009.
From the opening track of the debut album by Melbourne outfit Electric Empire, one could be forgiven for believing you’d unearthed a collection of Curtis Mayfield or Al Green rarities, with a modern twist, channeling Stevie Wonder with The Beatles influence. No wonder the Brand New Heavies asked Electric Empire to support their 2010 Australian tour.
