Blending the East and West
Stellar Works’ cross-cultural designs offer an eclectic collection of furniture, lighting and accessories, which blend Eastern and Western sensibilities. They will reveal a new collection during Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy.
The collection from Stellar Works includes a range of original designs and a rediscovery of forgotten classics; rights to reissue vintage pieces from Denmark and Italy allow them to inject new relevance and context. Believing in the longevity of design they suggest that “good design is everywhere although it often falls victim to the world’s insatiable quest for novel ideas.” They achieve an international dialogue with studios in Shanghai and Denmark.
Ming, Stellar Works’ most recent collection, is the result of a cultural investigation – an exploration of ancient forgotten typologies, crafts and ornamentation from China. The result is a mix of past and present, combining Asian decorative art with contemporary style and Western functionality.
Stellar Works’ Ming Collection will be on display at MOST during Salone del Mobile from Tuesday 9 April until Sunday 14 April 201.
