Documenta Madrid
From its very beginning the essence of cinematography was to document what happened around us. Documenta Madrid, which takes place in Madrid, Spain, explores the audiovisual era that we live within.
The Festival incorporates a mixture of traditional narrative styles, testimonials, and personal living experiences alongside innovative ways of reality telling.
A highlight of Documenta Madrid’s final days, is Ventura Pons’ 1978 film ‘Ocaña, Retrat Intermitent’ (Ocana, an Intermittent Portrait). This film made Joseph Pérez Ocaña, painter and street artist, a key figure in the counterculture of the Barcelona-seventies.
Documenta Madrid runs until Sunday 12 May 2013.
