Jean Marc Gady and Fort Royal

Jean Marc Gady and Fort Royal have come together in a unique partnership to create a stunning collection of furniture. All pieces have been made by the finest French artisans and celebrate the intrinsic beauty of wood.

The collaborative project is based on shared ideals between Gady and Fort Royal, who both place value on concept and craftsmanship. Gady has developed a style characterised by the embodiment of meaning, while Fort Royal brings together renowned craftsmen in an effort to offer enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike access to exceptional works of craftsmanship.

“The best way to give prestige back to these traditional and valuable crafts, and to renew them, is to create partnerships between artisans and top contemporary designers.” said Christian Préaud, Fort Royal’s Associate Artistic Director, of the collaboration

The collection features a set of drawers, stools and coffee tables crafted from eight varieties of timbers. One notable piece, the Venice Bench, is inspired by the shapes and exotic woods used in Hawaiian longboards.

The collection will be presented at the Revelations Fine Craft and Creation Fair at the Grand Palais, Paris from Wednesday 11 September until Sunday 15 September 2013.
