Chanel’s Courchevel Boutique
For the fourth year running Chanel is opening its elegant 200m2 ephemeral boutique in the heart of Courchevel ski resort for the duration of the winter season.
Located in the French Alps, the boutique space is divided into four distinct modules, giving a fun and surprising flow of circulation. In pale oak and gold metal followed by lacquered beige and then bronze and walnut, each room welcomes Ready to Wear pieces and accessories from Chanel’s 13/14 Cruise collection.
On the outside of the modules, clothes rails made from piles of multi-coloured wood and asymmetric shelves accentuate the contemporary spirit of the scenography. The windows display a key selection of fine jewellery from the Jardin de Camélias and Sous le Signe du Lion collections, as well as the Première J12 and the new Mademoiselle Privé watch collections.
To mark the boutique’s launch Karl Lagerfeld has decorated 36 of the 72 Jardin Alpin cable cars with his sketches. Symbols, iconic elements and silhouettes from collections by the House of Chanel, portraits of Mademoiselle Chanel as well as self-portraits of the designer himself, will all take to the air.
The boutique will open on Saturday 14 December until April 2014. It is located at Esplanade “LE TREMPLIN” Courchevel 1850, Savoie, France.
