The Italian Soul of Purho
Purho, a new player in the design industry, merges contemporary taste with a traditional approach to design and craftsmanship.
Purho has an Italian soul and an international nature, with objects and collections brought to life with by a team of talented designers.
Purho collaborated with industrial designer and architect Karim Rashid for the ‘De amore in vitro’ collection. Rashid has worked on projects from luxury goods and technology to furniture and lighting, with brands including Alessi, Umbro, Samsung and Kenzo. Rashid brings his vision to the recent Purho collection.
“I appreciate the desire to embrace new design while maintaining the skills of master craftsman. Purho does not follow the flippant recycling of trends. I see myself with these same attributes. Through our collaboration I am happy to bring to life objects that are dynamic, luxurious, and inspiring,” said Rashid.
The ‘De amore in vitro’ collection was born between Milan, New York and Venice. Guided by values from ancient Rome to the contemporary city of New York. The collection bridges values of the old and new and includes a selection of sculptures, trays, vases, candleholders and crockery. Created from hand crafted Murano Glass, a traditional material is given a contemporary form.
Founders Andrea Dotto and Roberto Fracassetti, brought Purho to life earlier this year.
