Porsche Design and Thierry Noir
A collaboration between Berlin-based Pop artist Thierry Noir and Porsche Design is to be unveiled during Art Basel Miami.
Noir has taken Porsche Design’s iconic TwinBag and incorporated his own signature hand-painted ‘heart faces’ for a limited edition collection of 200. The iconic heart faces are a vibrant addition to the sleek structure of the TwinBag.
Born in 1958 in Lyon, France, Noir moved to Berlin in January of 1982 after his attraction to the music of David Bowie and Iggy Pop, who lived in West Berlin at this time. From April 1984, Noir started to paint the Berlin wall. As the years went by, the paintings took on phenomenal proportions, which were rapidly recognised among the international arts community. His wall works survived the longest of any artist after the fall of the wall in 1989.
The collection of Porsche Design’s Noir TwinBag will be presented at an in Miami on Tuesday 3 December 2013 and will be made available for purchase in selective Porsche Design Stores around the world from January 2014.
