Ackermann was born in Bogota, Colombia, spending sections of his childhood in France, Ethiopia, Chad and Algeria before studying in Antwerp, Belgium. The aesthetics of his collections can be attributed to the diverse cultural influences of his younger years and reflect an understanding of contrasts and diversity. Ackermann often mixes elements of high and street fashion, combining unusual materials with an interplay, creating a narrative throughout.

Ackermann will present his second complete Menswear collection at Paris Fashion Week AW14/15 on Wednesday 15 January at 6.30pm (CET).
