Bang & Olufsen: Design Innovation
A selection of new and updated releases from Bang & Olufsen, continue to progress their reputation as leaders in design innovation.
The BeoSound Essence allows cloud-based music to be accessed and controlled with one touch. The BeoSound Essence remotes can be placed on walls or tables to allow music to be controlled at the user’s convenience. A simple touch is all it takes to play the music, while another touch allows tracks to be skipped and volume adjusted or muted.
“BeoSound Essence is all about giving people easy access to their favourite music in Bang & Olufsen quality,” explains Tue Mantoni, Bang & Olufsen CEO, “BeoSound Essence builds on Bang & Olufsen’s heritage of understanding user behaviour and technology and breaking new ground to make things simple.”
Revisiting classic headphone designs, Bang & Olufsen are releasing updated versions of the BeoPlay H3 and the iconic Form 2 from B&O PLAY. They have introduced a Gold Edition of the BeoPlay H3. While the Form 2, originally designed in 1983, is updated to meet the needs of contemporary society. Renamed the Form 2i, the headphones have been designed with the addition of a microphone, remote and improved comfort.
Available from Bang & Olufsen stores worldwide in April 2014 the BeoSound Essence retails at AUD$1095 for a sound system consisting of a wall-mounted BeoSound Essence Remote and hide-away box, and AUD$220 for additional wall-mounted or table top BeoSound Essence Remotes. Both the BeoPlay H3 and the Form 2i from B&O PLAY will be available this month.
