La Leche
fluoro experienced the unique interior space of La Leche (The Milk), a restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
La Leche follows a minimalist theme designed in a completely white aesthetic. It is a space inspired by milk. The central dining area features high ceilings with shelf-lined walls. The shelves are a central aspect of the restaurant’s design, each filled with containers of milk. The eclectic chair selection sees numerous styles surrounding a table, brought together by their white colouring.
In contrast to the white aesthetic of La Leche, a separate space located on the upper floor of the restaurant, houses a darker aesthetic. The name of the upper floor, ‘La Nata’, is a pun in reference to the La Leche space downstairs. In Spanish ‘Nata’ refers to the skin that forms on top of milk when it boils.
Both spaces offer an ideal backdrop for the unique dishes that are served daily. The menu often differs depending on the daily produce that is purchased. La Leche is owned by chef Alfonso Cadena and his father Ignacio Cadena
