Rado Esenza Ceramic Touch
Rado has introduced a breakthrough in timing technology with the launch of the new Rado Esenza Ceramic Touch. A team of experts worked together to bring the flawlessly design touch sensitive watch to life.
Rado’s more than 25 years of expertise with ceramic was an immediate advantage when developing the timepiece. As a natural insulator, ceramic does not conduct electricity, which makes it is an ideal material for a touch sensitive device. The Esenza Ceramic Touch unites the latest technology and the most emotional of all the human senses.
The mechanics of the timepiece rely on the detection of movement to make adjustments. A fingertip moved in a certain sequence on the case instructs the chip to allow the motor to move the hands, thus allowing the time to be set and reset through touch alone. The timepiece is controlled by the touch and sweep of a finger along the side of the ceramic case – left for hours and right for minutes. The Rado Esenza Ceramic Touch collection is comprised of six models, including three black and three white.
The release comes as Rado has been announced as the World Design Partner™ for World Design Capital Cape Town 2014. As a strong supporter of design initiatives, a promoter of young talent and a winner of a number of international design awards, Rado has long been known for its association with the world of design.
