Haider Ackermann AW14/15
A designer often in the eyes of fluoro, Haider Ackermann, presented his AW14/15 collection at Paris Fashion Week.
Ackermann’s AW14/15 collection focused on a thoughtful simplicity as seen though his choice of fabrics paired with a muted colour palette and loosely shaped garments. Heavy wool and tweed fabrics often reserved for menswear were cut in a way that evoked a subtle femininity. Jackets, pants, dresses and a tailored wool jumpsuit moved away from the draping seen in Ackermann’s past collections and created a streamlined silhouette.
Detail throughout the collection was enhanced by thickly wrapped fabric around the hair of the model’s and thin arching eyebrows pencilled over the models own. The style complemented the sleek look of the garments.
