Art View 2: Arik Levy
Art View 2 presents an installation of monumental outdoor pieces by artist Arik Levy, including the inauguration of his RockGrowth sculpture.
Art View 2 is the second in a series of exhibitions presented by The Atomium that aim to connect individuals with contemporary art.
The focus on Arik Levy will include his RockGrowth sculpture accompanied by supporting material documenting the artwork’s development. RockGrowth is over nine metres high and is constructed from stainless steel, with sections of the sculpture coloured red. Featuring reflective panels on the ends of the sculpture’s ‘arms’, the natural landscape of the area is mirrored.
Levy was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel and today lives and works in Paris, France. His works cover a broad range of mediums from sculpture to furniture and lighting, truly placing him as a multidisciplinary artist.
The Art View 2 exhibition is on display from Friday 25 April until Tuesday 30 September 2014 at The Atomium, Brussels. Its opening forms part of Art Brussels’ side events.
