Fashion Week Australia SS14/15

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia will bring together a selection of Australian designers, while highlighting the multicultural connection to the globe that the nation is known for.

Whether it be their heritage, their global awareness about the characteristics and industries of cities further ashore or their choice to continue to show on home soil despite having built a presence in international cities, fluoro highlights three designers who bring a global perspective to their collections.

STRATEAS.CARLUCCI

Founded by design duo Peter Strateas and Mario-Luca Carlucci, STRATEAS.CARLUCCI’s inaugural collection was launched in Paris in 2012. Since their original collection they have grown to form a brand characterised by its refined tailoring. STRATEAS.CARLUCCI will show their SS14/15 collection on Monday 7 April 2014 at 2.15pm (EST).

Christopher Esber

Making his debut at Mercedes-Benz Australian Fashion Week at age 23, Christopher Esber has brought to life a strong visual language for the Christopher Esber brand. Esber presents a refined take on the female silhouette. His parents moved to Australia during the 1980s from Lebanon, choosing Sydney as a place to settle and build their family. Esber formed skills in pattern making as a young child and has since taken his label internationally. Christopher Esber will show his SS14/15 collection on Tuesday 8 April 2014 at 6.00pm (EST).

Haryono Setiadi

Originally from Indonesia, Haryono Setiadi relocated to Australia and is based in Sydney. Before moving into fashion Setiadi spent time studying and working as a finance analyst. A level of innovation defines his collections and Setiadi was the first in Australia to incorporate 3D printing into his garments. Haryono Setiadi will present his SS14/15 collection on Wednesday 9 April at 9.00am (EST).

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia takes place in Sydney from Sunday 6 – Thursday 10 April 2014.
