Diversity in the House of Lanvin
The oldest of the fashion houses, Lanvin continues to diversify, adopting new technologies to share the brand’s story. In celebration of their 125th anniversary, Lanvin have released their first animated logo in video.
During the early 1900s Jeanne Lanvin had the idea of using an image to represent her couture house – a revolution in an age when designers signed their creations with their own name. In 1923, noted illustrator, decorator and costumier Paul Iribe captured the round movement of the 1907 photograph, stylising the voluminous dresses and suggesting mother and daughter caught in a circular dance.
The latest application of the logo in animation captures the unconditional love a mother has for her daughter and the history of the Lanvin house.
The logo continues to accompany Lanvin’s current creations, creating the enduring spirit of the house. Find out more about the rich history of Lanvin and their 125th anniversary here.
