Os Gêmeos: Celebrating Brazil

Brazilian twin brothers and street artists Os Gêmeos have painted the Brazilian national football team’s aeroplane in the lead up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The aeroplane will transport the team around Brazil during the World Cup, which begins in June 2014. Using 1,200 cans of spray paint to envelop the aeroplane’s façade with their signature characters, the vessel is completely transformed into a piece of art.

Os Gêmeos will also be opening a solo exhibition in São Paulo, Brazil on Sunday 29 June 2014. The exhibition titled A ópera da lua (The Moon Opera) will feature a selection of installations and paintings and will be on display at Galeria Fortes VIlaca until Saturday 16 August 2014.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup begins on Thursday 12 June 2014.
