Ch.ACO
Ch.ACO, the only contemporary art fair in Chile, returns to Santiago for its sixth edition.
The 2014 edition will bring together over 30 galleries from Latin America, Europe and the United States, along with independent projects from Chile and a new section dedication to the Chilean masters of modern art.
A series of pop up spaces will see the fair expand into various locations around the city of Santiago. Sponsored by Swatch, this section of the fair combines other traditional museums with new and contemporary initiatives. From travelling galleries that will see unconventional spaces transformed into temporary exhibition spaces, to the release of counter-publications that encourage the user to print their own copy, the pop up projects expose visitors to a broad definition of art.
Ch.ACO was founded in 2009 as a platform to develop the Chilean contemporary art system and grow its place on the national market. Over its six-year history, the festival has brought people in Chile closer to art and has developed the opportunities available for artists in the country.
The 2014 edition of Ch.ACO will take place from Friday 3 – Sunday 5 October 2014.
