Maison & Objet returns to Paris
Uniting the elements of home-fashion, Maison &Objet returns to Paris for the second 2014 edition.
With a slight difference to the January Paris edition, Maison & Objet in September celebrates the architectural elements of design, as opposed to the décor focus of January.
Representing this architectural focus is the 2014 Maison & Objet Designer of the Year of Interior Scenes, Dimore Studio, who was founded by American design duo Britt Moran and Italian Emiliano Salci. The team draw their inspiration from cultural and historical references to develop a style that is modern, yet timeless. Their projects span from residential projects and furniture to commercial hotels, restaurants and retail spaces.
Maison & Objet also provides younger design studios and individuals with the chance to show their wares in the Talents à la Carte section. Two of these emerging designers include French designer Ferréol Babin and English product and furniture designer Fabien Cappello. With diverse styles, Babin focuses on pairing function and rationale, while Cappello posses’ consideration of craft and industrial production.
Maison & Objet takes place in Paris from Friday 5 – Tuesday 9 September 2014. Maison & Objet has also announced their first American edition, which will take place in Miami Beach in May 2015.
