POW! WOW! Hawaii
Spun out of a weeklong event in Hawaii, POW! WOW! has grown to form a global network of contemporary artists that come together to engage with the community and create works of art.
POW! WOW! arranges gallery shows, lecture series, music and art schools, mural projects, concerts, a large creative space called Lana Lane Studios and live art installations all over the world. The primary event is held in the Kaka’ako district of Honolulu during Valentine’s Day week in February. The event attracts hundreds of international and local artists. The festival has been spreading to cities and countries including Taiwan, Long Beach, Singapore, Jamaica, Washington D.C., New Zealand and Germany.
Events for 2015 include a New Contemporary Art Movement Exhibition, mural painting, art, media and music discussions, art shows, and a range of parties and entertainment events. Moreover, POW! WOW! Hawaii will be featuring a wide variety of visual artists, designers, curators, speakers, musicians, and DJs.
POW! WOW! Hawaii 2015 will take place Saturday 7 – Saturday 14 February 2015 in Kaka’ako, Honolulu.
