DEN Furniture and Design Fair launches in Melbourne, Australia.
The curated event features the latest in lighting, furniture, and textiles collections from a a selection of handpicked established and emerging designers and brands from around the world.

Upon entering DEN a unique feeling of substance and personality meets visitors. It quickly becomes clear that DEN has strongly committed to quality in favour of quantity. A limited collection of brands and designers have made it to this event, leading to a spacious display of each collection. The atmosphere is intimate giving a unrestricted feel as designers and innovators mingle, work, connect and inspire at this new platform for furnishing, furniture and design.
Among the exhibitors was Cult an Australian brand that stands out by its contemporary design pieces. From furniture, home accessories and textiles to stationary and porcelain, Cult offers it all. Inspired by Danish design aesthetics, the brand creates original pieces that express simple yet captivating modern designs.
Another notable brand present at the fair was DOMO, Australia’s selected stockist of Europe’s most prominent furniture brands as well as a range of the most prestigious global brands. These are selected based on their commitment to quality, craftsmanship and originality, which forms the values of DOMO.
Oblica a brand that transforms fireplaces, stoves and accessories was also among the exhibitors at DEN. Oblica stands out with their contemporary take on a fireplace as a piece that not only serves as a function for heating but also as a piece of design in a space. With one of their latest offerings, a modular fireplace by German Skantherm that can be assembled in ways only restricted by imagination, Oblica has made fire an ever-changing, living sculpture.
DEN also saw Volker Haug Lighting feature among the exhibitors. German born designer Volker Haug creates unique lighting pieces unlike any other, transforming the spaces they reside in. Haug’s lighting pieces are shaped by a creativity of a boundless imagination. fluoro spoke to the creative behind these original lighting pieces when he was still a one-man company working from his garage. Now, the designer innovates at the Volker Haug studio and showroom located in East Brunswick, Melbourne.
DEN Furniture and Design Fair will take place until Saturday 16 May 2015 at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia.
