Designers, illustrators, typographers, photographers, filmmakers, and branding experts come together to share their knowledge and experiences in a creative platform that is known as Semi-Permanent.
Founded in Sydney, Australia in 2003, the event has established itself as a leader in the creative world developing into more than 45 events across multiple cities in five countries.
This year the focus shifts to the cities of Sydney in Australia, Auckland in New Zealand and Mumbai in India, who all will play host to three unique Semi-Permanent events.

WIRED by Design at Semi-Permanent
In 2014 WIRED created its first-ever live magazine. Centered on the theme of design, the event, called WIRED by Design, brought together great minds from a range of industries together to share stories about the creative process. This year WIRED will be holding a special session of talks and conversations intended to reveal how some of the most WIRED people in the world make their creative choices.Among the speakers are WIRED’s Editor-In-Chief, Scott Dadich and Partner at Pentagram Natasha Jen.
Progression in Australian Fashion: Dion Lee
Not only publishing admirers have something to look forward to, but also those with a keen interest in fashion. Dion Lee, the man behind his self-titled label, will also be talking at Semi-Permanent Sydney. In a very short time, Lee managed to establish himself as a highly recognised and awarded fashion innovator, not only in the Australian fashion industry but also on an international level.
Urban Art: Askew One
Street art enthusiasts can enjoy a hearing from Askew One. Known across the globe for his unique graffiti style and innovative exploration in art, he is at the forefront of the international art scene. Askew One is self-taught in graphic design, illustration, photography, publishing, directing and editing of music videos and moving images.
Semi-Permanent Screenings, Exhibitions and Installations
Semi-Permanent Sydney will also offer screenings, exhibitions and installations.
A world premiere screening by D&AD will demonstrate how works are selected in creative competitions, by shedding light on what leaders in awarding creative excellence deem most worthy and relevant in current times.
Exhibitions by Anna-Wili Highfield, Bart Celestine & Stefan Duscio, and Stanley Donwood will be held at Semi-Permanent and are a must visit selection.
Levi’s ® will be collaborating with Semi-Permanent to bring to life the Levi’s ® Tailor Shop as well as a few other surprises that will be announced in the coming days.
