Supreme X Larry Clark
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Larry Clark’s debut film KIDS, the director partnered with Supreme to release a special collection of items featuring stills from the film.
The collection consists of three skate decks, a hooded sweatshirt, a long sleeved t-shirt and a selection of short sleeved t-shirts. All the items feature screenshots from the film released in 1995 that portrayed youth in New York City.
KIDS featured a blunt depiction of a raw and anarchic world as documented by Larry Clark and became an important document of the time, place and culture of the early 90’s. Larry Clark came to know the film’s writer Harmony Korine and actor Leo Fitzpatrick through photographing skaters in New York City. The remaining cast were brought together from a variety of downtown New York characters including Supreme team riders Justin Pierce and Harold Hunters. The fact that the film still resonates today as much as it did in 1995 is an evidence of its authenticity.
The KIDS collection will be available online and in-store in New York, Los Angeles and London on Thursday 21 May 2015. The collection will be released in Japan on Saturday 23 May 2015.
