Craig Black: Slick’s Barbershop Window Art Vol. 02
London based designer Craig Black returns to create a new window of typographic art at Slick’s Barbershop in Glaskow, United Kingdom.
The first project was initiated to counter industry competition by creating a captivating window design to allow the barbershop to stand out. Based on the success of the project, which went viral through social media, Black was called back for Slick’s Barbershop Window Art Vol. 02. The brief for the second project involved the engagement of the full shop window in order to include a different sector of the shop, The Shave Room. This required the production of a typographic design that aligned with the Slick’s ethos and kept it strong.
Shedding light on the concept of The Shave Room, Black approached the project by designing a geometric frame around both typographic designs to show a continuity of the Slick’s brand. With a determination to create a unique and powerful connection with the viewer, Black created an artwork that completed the former design and added to its uniqueness and strength.
