Chaos in the CBD: Midnight in Peckham
Rhythm Section International presents their 8th offering by local band Chaos in the CBD, titled Midnight in Peckham.
Born in New Zealand, the two brothers forming the band have been based in Peckham in London, United Kingdom for the last few years. During this time they have managed to make a true impact in London with their musical sound. With the release of their latest set of production in Midnight in Peckham, the band is set to take the city by storm.
The new album reflects years of maturing and fine-tuning from the brothers’ previous productions over the years, released internationally through labels such as ClekClekBoom, Hot Haus and Amadeus. The result, Midnight in Peckham is a four-track EP characterised by a restrained potency and poetic subtlety expressed through a deep, electronic jazz sound.
The record pays homage to deep house in its purest sense with an added influence and environ of the duo to the tracks. Midnight in Peckham, as such, presents a sound that is unmistakably London, and yet truly timeless.
The EP is now available for purchase as a limited edition 12” vinyl in a classic Rhythm Section House Sleeve as well as in digital format at Bandcamp.
